Do Boosters Ruin Games For You?

With a slew of new achievements hitting the Xbox 360, that can be easily achieved by spending some quality time with your 360. But, the problem is your just sitting there having no fun just to earn a couple of achievements.

Now there are two types of Achievements that are boosted to get; one type are achievements like the new Gears of War Achievements. Achievements that would just take time to complete.

Now I have to admit that some of my friends have asked me to help them with their achievements, and I almost budged. But, I didn't and I went along with my day.

But, then came the big challenge and achievement called Godlike.
This achievement requires the player to kill every member of the opposing team without taking any damage(the teams must have at least 10 players and no bots).

So, I saw a post on the Achievement Junkie Forums, asking for people to sign up for a boosting match. In which, the Godlike achievement would be obtained.

I was really put to the test, I was really close to doing it, but it fell through and not enough people showed up.

And then, one day I got super lucky by killing for enemies with one grenade and sniping two other players.

So, no matter what your position on boosting is I hope this story influences your view point on boosting. Just remember that it feels a whole lot better when you do it legitimately.

Unstopabble Tips

I have just recently achieved unstoppable in Shadowrun and I have a few tips.

50
Kill 10 enemies in a row, without being killed

Tip 1:
Use a Troll.
I have yet to do this with any other race.
As a Troll I have done it twice, 17-0 and 19-0.

Tip 2:
Minigun
Easy kills, and if your up against another troll then just make sure that you rev your gun up first.

Tip 3:
Tree of Life
Have it to heal yourself, after 2 kills.

Tip 4:
Smoke
Use it as soon as you take 1/2 damage. Then, turn a corner and plant a tree. Then you should be able to heal. If they chase you, then just smoke while healing. Once your at full health get out your minigun and "Spray and Pray."

Achievements

Recently I have run across a couple of games with hard achievements. Now sure the rest were easy, but I spent a whole lot of time to get that dig achievement. So, I was wandering if achievements drove you away from games, because you felt that you did not wanna play if were not going to get rewarded. For me, certain games I will always go back to(Aegis Wings and Gears), but some(Sneak King and Perfect Dark Zero) I will never pop in again. So, please leave your comments.

Shadowrun Strategies

Here are a list of strategies, for all of the races, that have worked for me:

Elf:

Combo 1:
Weapons: Smg and the Katana
Tech: Enhanced Vision and the Glider
Magic: Teleport
Notes: Use enhanced vision to scope your enemies out, and the teleport right past them and inflict a mortal wound with the katana.

Combo 2:
Weapons: Smg and the Katana
Tech: Glider
Magic: Smoke(or Teleport) and Resurrect
A typical medic combo.

Combo 3:
Weapons: Smg and the Rifle
Tech: Smartlink
Magic: Strangle and Summon
Notes: A defender.

Combo 4:
Weapons: Smg and the Rifle
Tech: Smartlink
Magic: Teleport and Strangle
Notes: A attacker.

Human:
Really anything goes, they don't excel with anything.

Troll:
Combo 1:
Weapons: Mini gun and Shotgun
Tech: None
Magic: Tree of Life
Notes: You have to have a tee and a mini gun if your a troll.

Dwarf:
Combo 1: Shotgun and Smg
Tech: Glider
Magic: Resurrect
Notes: Every Dwarf should have a shotgun.

Combo 2:
Weapons: Shotgun and a Sniper
Tech: Glider
Magic: Smartlink
Notes: Sniper, Dwarfs are hard to see.

The Bigs

2k Sports has announced their new baseball game for this year, The BIGS.

My Thoughts: I question the name change. Why change it? The BIGS makes it sound like it is the baseball equivalent to Blitz: The League, except this one would be produced by Jose Canseco. And, considering that the usual 2K cheats that "JUICE" up your player stats, it makes it even worse.

Oh well, I can't wait.

Shadowrun Fever!!!

CATCH IT!

I am definitely not ashamed to say that I have caught it. Not only have I teabagged somebody senseless, I have also really enjoyed this game. This game combines ancient magic, futuristic technology, and modern weapons. In some ways this game also adds an RPG aspect, by making you purchase our: race, weapons, magic, and technology.
Shadowrun allows you to choose from four different races, one of them is the elf.

The only downside is that there is no campaign, but I believe that this is made up by a hour and a half training session.

My Review of Game play:
My first impressions was that the game was way too fast and complex for your casual gamer. But after my second match I had caught on, and having a whole lot of fun.

There are many different strategies that all depend on: your race, the game type, the map, and most importantly the amount of money that you have. Personally, I love choosing the elf and equipping him with: the glider, teleport, and Strangle.

The different game types include: Attrition, Raid, and Extraction. Raid and Extraction are both CTF based. In Raid one team attacks and the other defends, and in Extraction both teams are after the artifact. Attrition is my favorite, because the game is a lot funner when all your trying to do is kill the opponent, instead of trying to get an artifact.

The weapons are your normal one of each type, from pistol to rocket launcher.

The magic and tech are what makes this game stand out. Magic and Tech can be bought before and during each match. Tech: Wired Reflexes, Smartlink, Glider, Antimagic Generator, and Enhanced Vision. Magic: Gust, Resurrect, Smoke, Strangle, Summon, Teleport, and the Tree of Life.

Races: Human, Elf, Troll, amd Dwarf.

My Rating: 9 out of 10 for a hardcore gamer
My Rating: 7 out of 10 for a casual gamer
